  • Teens will learn a variety of mindfulness techniques to improve focus and attention, deal with difficult emotions and stress, create a sense of peace and calm, and develop their sense of interconnectedness and compassion. Activities include mindful movement, various meditation practices, walking a labyrinth, mindful eating, and direct instruction about specific breathing exercises.

  • Instructor: Jenn McCullough

    • Certified Mindfulness Educator, implementing mindfulness programs in various schools in the Toledo area & leading the Mindfulness in Education Curriculum for Toledo Mindfulness Institute

    • Certified Yoga Instructor & Owner of Integration Yoga with Jenn

Mindful Eating

  • This workshop will address hunger and craving and how mindfulness can help you tune into your body’s true needs versus desires. Mindfulness expert and Zen Teacher Rinsen Weik explains that there are different kinds of hunger, which he will discuss in depth at the workshop. Workshop will include meditation, participant check-in, lecture, and interactive group discussion and Q&A. Open to all.

Mindful Embodiment

  • Tuesday, August 20, 6-8 PM

  • Toledo Mindfulness Institute, 6537 Angola Rd., Holland

  • $30

  • In this workshop, mindfulness expert and Zen Teacher Rinsen Weik, who has been practicing martial arts since the 1970s, will discuss how to become healthfully aware of your physical structure and introduce specifically chosen energy movements, or chi kung practices, to encourage mindful embodiment. He will also introduce mindful breathing techniques in order to channel the breath for optimal energy flow and vibrancy. Workshop will include meditation, participant check-in, lecture, and interactive group discussion and Q&A. Open to all.
