Environmental care is self care. In collaboration with wellness driven community partners, this workshop series is designed to foster the connection between personal care and care for the planet.

Each workshop includes a beginner friendly Yoga practice led by TMI faculty member Anabelle followed by environmental education and community connection time. By the end of each workshop you will have a better understanding how to care for the environment and organizations you can connect with.

December 20th Location: Toledo Mindfulness Institute featuring Keep Toledo Lucas County Beautiful. Theme: ETHER.
Explore the interconnectedness of breath, body, and nature through mindful movement and reflection. This session invites participants to consider how environmental and public health are deeply intertwined.
January 17th, 2026 Location: Glass City Enrichment Center, Featuring Toledo Mindfulness Institute and Amy Stone from OSU Extension. Theme: FIRE
This session will explore how soil connects all life and how returning nutrients to the earth through composting can support healthier ecosystems, communities, and minds.
February 21, 2026 Location: National Museum of the Great Lakes with Sara Guiher, Ohio Sea Grant and Sarah Williams from City of Toledo.

Theme: AirEnjoy gentle movement in the fresh spring air before joining a community litter cleanup. This session focuses on building awareness of our daily habits and how small actions can empower us to care for both ourselves and our surroundings.
May 16, 2026 Location TBD with Keep Toledo/Lucas County Beautiful
Theme: EarthReconnect with the land through a grounding yoga flow followed by a community tree planting. Learn about the vital role trees play in our environment and how planting them is an act of resilience and hope.

This series is not specifically designed for kiddos, but with that in mind they are welcome! Please use your judgment on if they can hang for a 60 minute yoga class and environmental conversation.

Yoga in Living Sound: a Yoga and improvised music experience
Join us for our signature yoga class: Kripalu Yoga with Isabella with a TWIST! LIVE improvised music featuring the cello, french horn, and more with soundscapes inspired by Will Schneider’s new album, Convergence.
“Convergence” is an album celebrating the human experience and focuses on storytelling as central to the universality of that experience. Taking imagined scenes from prehistory the album reflects on one’s self-expressionism, our relationship to the world around us and the development of community this album paints with emotive statements reflecting on the shared experiences of humans both now and in the past.

Join us for an evening celebrating Will Schneider’s new album, Convergence!
“Convergence” is an album celebrating the human experience and focuses on storytelling as central to the universality of that experience. Taking imagined scenes from prehistory the album reflects on one’s self-expressionism, our relationship to the world around us and the development of community this album paints with emotive statements reflecting on the shared experiences of humans both now and in the past.
The deluxe version of the album expands these ideas into an interdisciplinary exploration – incorporating poetry written by Hailey Currin in place of traditional liner notes as well as artwork by JaeEun Schermerhorn reflecting on each composition as well as a few bonus tracks. The deluxe version will only be available as a physical copy.
